Collaboration is working together to achieve a goal.  

It is a recursive process where two or more people or organizations work together to realize shared goals.

For COLINDOUGHERTY, this is more than the intersection of common goals seen in co-operative ventures, but a deep, collective, determination to reach an identical objective.  In particular, teams that work collaboratively can obtain greater resources, recognition and reward when facing competition for finite resources.

COLINDOUGHERTY, established in 2007, is a storefront on Cleveland Street and a studio in the Keswick Hunt area of central Virginia.  The studio produces events, books, apparel and conceptual products as well as marketing and branding projects for select clients.  The storefront, open by appointment, presents a constantly re-imagined group show of artwork, objects, collections and ideas generated by an ever changing cast of collaborators.

It all started as a means for its founder to pursue varied creative interests, COLINDOUGHERTY draws on my collective experience in advertising, product development and design to create compelling brand strategies, promotional campaigns, products and one-of-a-kind artifacts, as well as a unique space for art happenings and special gatherings.
